Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)
What should I wear?
Although New Life in Christ is a conservative church, Pastor Shaner is more concerned with your spiritual state than your appearance. You will notice most of the women choose to wear modest skirts or dresses and the men are in collared shirts and dockers or a nice pair of jeans, but we want you to feel welcome no matter how you dress.
What kind of music does your church have?
New Life in Christ clings to the old ways. We sing from the hymnals. Our music is conservative yet uplifting and Christ exalting.
What Bible do you use?
New Life in Christ uses the King James Bible (KJB) in all their teaching and preaching. We believe the KJB is the most accurate and preserved Bible in the English speaking language and is suprior to all other English versions because of the family line of manuscripts that were used to translate the KJB. You are welcome to bring your own Bible but if you do not have a Bible, we have them already placed in the pews for you to use and follow along during the services.
Are there classes for my children?
Yes for Sunday School! New Life in Christ provides classes for ages 4yrs to 12th grade. For our regular church services we encourage families to worship together; children can glean from the time with their parents in singing, praying, praising, worshipping and the preaching of the Word of God.
How do I know my child will be safe?
We do not let just let anyone work with the children. Every person that wants to work with the children in any of the departments must undergo the full screening process. New Life in Christ has implemented a program to ensure your child?s safety. Each Teacher over the age of 18 has had a background check through a non-affiliated independent national/international screening agency.
What kind of spiritual education do you offer adults?
New Life in Christ has one on one discipleship opportunities and Wednesday night Bible study for all ages as well as a Sunday morning and evening service to help you grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
